Swiminc Inc. & Worthington Pools

We are a 501(c)(3) community based, private non­profit organization that was established for the purpose of running the Worthington Pools and all of the programs located at the center of this community resource. We are run by an all volunteer Board of Directors drawn from the Worthington community. Swiminc was incorporated in May 1953 by members of the Worthington community working with the Worthington School District and it has operated the Worthington Pools pursuant to a long term lease with the Worthington School District, the owner of the property, since 1957.

We are the custodian of over 60 years of tradition in Worthington, and we are dedicated to ensuring these traditions of the community are available for decades to come.

Mission Statement

The purpose of Swiminc, Inc is to provide and promote quality recreational, educational, and competitive aquatic programs and facilities to the residents of the Worthington School District.

Sustainability

By operating an independent nonprofit and partnering with the Worthington Scool District, City of Worthington, local businesses, and individuals we are able to operate the facility at a fraction of the cost to the Worthington community. We are dedicatate to running the facility and programs in manner that ensures these benifits will serve the community for years to come.

Transparency

We are proud of the services we provide to the community that has supported us for so many year. We believe the community has a right to see how we use our resources to operate and we welcome any feedback to help serve you better.

We publish progress reports and work with organizations for accredidation and oversight.

Community Outreach

For 60 over years the Worthington community has made Worthington Pools an amazing facility. Whether it’s organizing a food drive for the Worthington Resource Pantry or  donating facility use to the Special Olympics, we try our best to give back and help the community stay great.

Future

The recently developed master plan looks to the future by expanding the recreational amenities of the pool complex, adding a new indoor swimming pool to support increased learn to swim and training opportunities, office space, retail space, new restrooms, therapy office, and concession stand. The plan was developed over the course of several years and included extensive discussions with community groups and other key stakeholders in 2013/14, the development of site conceptual plans was completed by aquatic facility development professionals who donated their time and experience, and extensive Board discussions.
