
Junior Lifeguarding Camp 2025
Course Dates & Times: July 14 – 18* from 9am – 5pm each day (participants should bring lunch)
Course Cost: $350 per participant

On July 17th, families will drop off participants at Zoombezi Bay instead of Worthington Pools
The Worthington Pools Junior Lifeguarding Camp is the perfect opportunity for your child to learn the basics of lifeguarding while having a ton of fun!
Guided by American Red Cross curriculum and taught by certified American Red Cross instructors, the program is designed to guide youth ages 10 – 14 to be able to take the lifeguarding course once they turn 15-years-old. The course focuses on building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes, and skills of future lifeguards. The program, taking place over an entire week, is approximately 40 hours in length. Each day includes dry land and in-water activities with the exception of the lessons focused on first aid. Check out some of our exciting features of the camp below:

Prerequisites for the Lifeguarding Camp
In order to register for the course, participants must be able to meet certain prerequisites. See the required pre-requisites below:

Swim freestyle for 25 yards continuously. Swim breaststroke for 25 yards continuously.

Complete the water competency sequence:

Step into the water and fully submerge.

Tread water for one minute.
-
Rotate 360 degrees and orient to the exit.

Swim freestyle or backstroke for 25 yards.

Exit the pool without using a ladder or steps.
